Angelo Venosa

Angelo Venosa attended Escola Brasil, in São Paulo, in 1973, having then moved to Rio de Janeiro the following year, where he graduated in Industrial Design at the Industrial Design School. He is one of the few artists of the so-called “80s Generation” dedicated to sculpture and painting. Since then, he has laid the foundations for a career established in the national and international circuit, including participations in the São Paulo Biennial (1987), the Venice Biennale (1993) and the Mercosul Biennial (2005). In 2012, the Museum of Modern Art in Rio de Janeiro dedicated an individual exhibition to him in celebration of his 30 years of career. Today, Venosa has numerous public sculptures throughout the country, including Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Rio Grande do Sul and Curitiba.
